A little preparation before your carpet cleaners arrive helps the visit run smoothly and lets us focus on the actual cleaning rather than working around obstacles.

Clear small items and valuables

Remove small items from the floor — toys, shoes, loose cables, decorative objects and anything valuable or fragile. This protects your belongings and gives us clear access to the full carpet.

Think about furniture

We can generally work around most furniture, but let us know in advance if there are large or heavy pieces you’d like moved, or if certain furniture should be left exactly where it is. Mentioning this when you book avoids any confusion on the day.

Point out problem areas

If there are specific stains, odours or heavily soiled areas you’re concerned about, let us know beforehand. This helps us give those areas the right attention as part of the visit.

Plan for pets

If you have pets, it’s worth arranging somewhere for them to be during the visit, both for their comfort around unfamiliar equipment and to keep them off the carpet while it’s damp afterwards.

Clear access to the property

Make sure there’s clear access to your home and the rooms being cleaned, including any estate or complex access requirements if you live in a managed estate.

After we finish

Once cleaning is complete, keep foot traffic light while the carpet finishes drying, and avoid walking on it with shoes until it feels dry to the touch.
